Life, Love and Nature

The first De Montfort Hall concert of the new Bardi season “Life, Love and Nature” will see the welcome return of BBC Young Musician Finalist Isata Kanneh-Mason as our soloist to play Schumann’s romantic Piano Concerto. Dvorák’s Carnaval Overture will give a lively start the concert and the evocative Symphony No.5 by Vaughan Williams a contrast in the second half. Although completed in 1943 in the midst of the Second World War, much of the music of the symphony looks back to the composer’s earlier style of the Tallis Fantasia.
