Musical organisations were engaging with players and audiences in a variety of ways during the long lockdown period when we have been unable to perform. Bardi Players managed to get together, socially distanced, for two workshop days but further planned activities were curtailed by the various lockdowns. We decided to record our own version of ‘Desert Island Discs’ in this six-part series of musical conversations with people close to the Bardi. Each guest will choose eight pieces of music and discuss their choices, and other topics, with former BBC Radio Leicester presenter, and long-time supporter of the orchestra, Dr John Florance.
